Simply pull this arm back to place a new paper towel roll from the top.
When you let go, it will automatically apply pressure onto the roll. This helps prevent the roll from unraveling, & helps make 1-handed tearing easy!
The center rod features 4 flexible rods that apply tension to the paper towel roll's inner tube, which helps hold it firmly in place.
It also features a Ratcheting System which applies resistence to the paper towel roll when it is spinning. This prevents the roll from spinning too freely, which could cause too much paper-towel to be unraveled at one time.
The base is equipped with 4 strong silicone suction cups that help secure the device firmly to a flat surface, like a countertop or table.
Since it relies on suction, it is best to use it on a flat, smooth, & clean surface. Some examples of smooth surface materials that work well with suction cups include marble, granite, glass, porcelin, ceramic, laminate, & stainless steel.
Pro tip for textured surfaces- If your surface isn't completely flat, or has texture to it, the suction cups may need a little help maintaining a complete air-tight seal. Applying some vaseline, lip-balm, or silicone grease around the edges of the suction cups works well for this. Applying some tape or hairspray to the surface before applying the suction cups can also be effective.
